Superior Thermo Log Construction In spite of its traditional log home appearance, the Nordic Breeze home is built with large prefabricated wall units. The thermo log wall units and corner joints provide the home with an uncompromisingly solid appearance. Thermo log wall construction is a warm and rigid solution.	On Site Construction Steps
Never settling structure The settlement of a conventional log wall can cause many unpleasant surprises. To avoid this, builders have usually left a big enough margin for settlement above windows, doors and intermediate walls. However, this is not always enough as external walls exposed to south and internal walls usually shrink more than other walls. Lapponia has introduced a 120 mm and 170 mm thermo frame with the thermo log houses. Our Thermo Log has a very limited amount of settling as our windows, doors and wall structures are produced in our factory which is dry and free from the exterior elements prior to shipping. The owner can decorate the house with freedom of materials from tiles to wallpapers. Fixed furniture can also reach up to the ceiling as no margin is required for settlement
Self-ventilating wall construction When building a wall, a ventilation cavity should be left between insulation and the external cladding. Insulation is never to be fastened straight against wood. Otherwise moisture in the wall will not evaporate in winter when it's cold, and this may lead to rot and mould. Our houses have regularly a cavity. The appearance of a Nordic Breeze house will keep beautiful longer as moisture will not be able to evaporate through the walls and turn the wall coating scaly.
Prefabricated thermo log home Nordic Breeze houses are delivered to a high degree pre assembled, which enables a rapid and easy erection of the house. Most items from external walls and gable triangles to sauna benches are sent as large wall units or otherwise ready made.
Economic solution The home delivery is as complete in material terms as possible. Pre assembly technology, and low-cost use and preparation makes the Nordic Breeze timber home an economic solution for the buyer.
Breathing insulation alternative A good alternative for the insulation material of your house could be cellulose fiber insulation. Since it is a breathing material, it is very suitable for insulating a thermo log house.
